Crime Specialties unlock at general Crime Level 25. They extend the crime system with four independent disciplines, each with its own XP, level, crime ladder and permanent perks.
| Specialty | Focus |
|---|---|
| Thievery | Theft, burglary and high-value scores |
| Violence | Muscle, intimidation and dangerous contracts |
| Deception | Scams, forgery and elaborate cons |
| Racketeering | Protection, extortion and criminal control |
There is no single active-specialty choice. Your selected crime awards progression in its own discipline, and you can develop all four over time.
Each discipline has ten crime tiers, unlocked at specialty levels 1, 8, 18, 28, 40, 52, 64, 76, 88 and 96. Check each row for its Nerve cost, any Focus cost and equipment requirements.
Specialty levels cap at 100, but XP can continue accumulating for rankings. Their success, cooldown and Heat progression comes from the relevant specialty level rather than the general base-crime rank modifiers.
Specialty crimes have their own per-crime cooldowns and share the two-second global cooldown with base crimes.
Levels 50 and 100 unlock discipline perks. Thievery provides additional loot opportunities, Violence changes applicable failure consequences and superior outcomes, Deception can refund Nerve, and Racketeering improves applicable crew contributions or leadership effects.
Read the perk details for its conditions. A Mastery perk is not a guaranteed trigger on every attempt, and some Mastery chances scale with the crime's tier. Crew-related effects also depend on the operation and role.
Successful crimes in every discipline can roll the shared crime loot table. Thievery perks provide separate extra opportunities, rather than making every shared-table roll succeed.
Leaderboard titles are competitive distinctions. The top-ten title and the number-one title are separate from permanently earned level perks.
