The Market lets players list items for sale. Personal trades let two players exchange cash and inventory items directly.
The Global Market handles items that are not city-scoped. Drugs, excluding items tagged as ingredients, use the Street Market.
Street listings belong to a city. The seller lists drugs from that city's stash, and the buyer must be in the listing's city. Purchased drugs enter the buyer's city stash.
Listing drugs carries Heat and a chance of a bust and jail. Risk varies with the drug and player modifiers. Drugs cannot be gifted or included in a personal trade.
Choose the item, quantity and price in the Market. Items marked Not tradable cannot be listed. Recently purchased Donator Points may also have a temporary trade lock.
Listed items leave your available inventory or stash. Rare and Epic gear listings represent a specific item with its own bonuses.
The buyer pays the full listing price. Sale earnings accumulate in a pending balance and must be collected. Cancelling a listing returns its unsold items; previously earned pending proceeds remain collectible.
The market fee is deducted from the seller's proceeds.
Family income tax, where applicable, is deducted after the market fee. The amount the seller receives can therefore be lower than the listed sale value.
Displayed item value is an estimate, not a guaranteed sale price. It uses a recent market median when sufficient sales exist, otherwise a fallback value. Your asking price does not determine the item's net-worth value.
Start a trade through the Trade action on another player's profile. Each player can have one active trade. Starting another trade with the same partner resumes the existing one.
Changing an offer clears both Continue confirmations. During review, either participant can use Back to return to editing and clear confirmations.
Before completion, the game checks both offers against current cash and ownership. If an offer is no longer valid, the trade returns to editing with an error. Nothing transfers until both sides accept and validation succeeds.
Drugs and non-tradable inventory items cannot be offered. Gear must be available in personal inventory. Incoming trade cash can be used to repay outstanding loan debt before the remainder reaches the recipient.
Trades expire after six hours from creation and are cancelled by the periodic expiry check. There is nothing held in escrow to return. Cash offered in an active trade is protected from PvP Mug, but remains in your balance until completion.
