Rare and Epic equipment can carry unique bonuses attached to a specific instance. Two pieces with the same item name and rarity can have different effects.
Rare weapons and armor receive one unique bonus; Epic pieces receive two. Inspect instance details before buying, trading or equipping. The item name alone does not describe its full combat behavior.
Weapon eligibility depends on archetype. Knife, pistol and heavy-weapon pools contain different effects, so not every bonus appears on every weapon.
Relative multipliers and percentage-point additions differ. Deadeye increases relative weapon accuracy by 10%; Quickdraw adds 7.5 percentage points to weapon critical-hit chance. Neither guarantees a hit or critical strike.
Heavy Hitter improves final damage on successful hits, while Armor Breaker adds weapon piercing. Conditional effects only help when their target-state or attack-type requirement is met.
Reinforced reduces incoming final damage by 8%. Bulletproof reduces firearm damage by 12%; Padded applies a 12% reduction to melee damage. Watchful reduces the enemy's weapon-accuracy effectiveness against you by 8%.
Choose around the opponents you expect to face. A firearm-specific defense is not a general reduction against every attack type.
Some bonuses are explicitly reserved for mechanics that do not exist yet. Quick Hands refers to reload penalties and Fleet-Footed to escape chance. Do not value those as an active reload or escape advantage under the current combat system.
Use equipment details together with your battle stats and current Life. An appropriate bonus can help a setup, but it does not guarantee a win.
