Car Theft Ring is an Organized Crime contract for a complete crew of 2 players: one Leader plus Driver. It requires player level 12.
| Property | Base value |
|---|---|
| Required player level | 12 |
| Total accepted crew | 2 |
| Run duration | 90 seconds |
| Participation cooldown | 6 hours |
| Create cost | 4 Nerve and 12 Focus |
| Applicant cost | 8 Nerve and 8 Focus |
Creating a lobby pays the leader's create cost. Applying pays the applicant cost. The leader has the reserved Leader role; the other roles must be assigned to accepted applicants before starting.
| Role | Supporting progression |
|---|---|
| Leader | Leadership |
| Driver | Racing skill |
Role scoring combines Crime XP with the applicable supporting progression. A Driver uses Racing skill rather than a separate Driving secondary stat. Player level grants access, but does not by itself establish a strong contribution to a role.
The leader starts the job once the exact required crew and unique role assignments are complete. The server rechecks participants at start. Check the lobby's crew preview rather than treating the base risks as your final success chance.
Run duration and participation cooldown are separate. The cooldown is assigned to accepted participants when the job starts; the OC Mastery duration modifier affects that participation cooldown. A short run does not mean you can immediately repeat the activity.
The result can succeed or fail, with cash, XP, Heat and possible cash loss, jail or hospital consequences depending on the outcome. Crew quality can reduce risk but does not make success certain. Applicable personal payout effects, leadership effects, family tax and outstanding default debt can change the cash you actually receive.
Loot and any special rewards follow the contract's configured reward rules. Do not treat an advertised base payout as guaranteed take-home money or assume every attempt grants an item.
An unstarted lobby can be cancelled with the applicable resource refunds; unfilled lobbies expire after 72 hours. This is not a refund for a completed unsuccessful job.
