Law is one of seven career tracks. It provides its own progression, active-career modifiers and a permanent Tier 10 mastery. Choose it for the activities you plan to support, then collect completed shifts to advance the track.
A base shift takes five minutes, costs 15 Focus and awards 25 career XP before applicable effects. Shift pay depends on the track and tier; use the current shift preview for your actual amount. Completed shifts must be collected to receive their rewards. Family tax, applicable payout effects and outstanding default debt can change the cash reaching your balance.
Law shifts support Leadership as the primary secondary stat and Charisma as the secondary stat. The secondary grant is approximately half the primary grant, with rounding and minimum-grant rules. Career XP and secondary-stat XP are separate forms of progression.
The active Law track supplies modifiers for reduced Heat gain, shorter jail grants and a lower applicable bust-chance multiplier. Their strength depends on the track's current tier. Selecting another active career changes this active modifier block. Check the relevant activity's current preview rather than assuming a career modifier affects every activity with a similar name.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Unlock | Tier 10 in Law |
| Perk | Legal Loopholes |
| Effect | 10% shorter jail sentences |
Shorter sentences limit downtime after a jail outcome. The perk affects sentence grants; it is not an automatic release or a guarantee that a bust attempt succeeds.
Mastery remains active after switching careers. Progress is stored separately for each track, and you can unlock all seven masteries over time. You do not need to keep Law selected to retain Legal Loopholes. Active modifiers and permanent mastery are separate benefits.
