Vehicles acquired through GTA appear in the Garage. Each vehicle is an individual asset with its own damage and city.
The Garage shows the model, tier, damage, city and assessed value. Catalog statistics include seats, top speed, acceleration, braking and handling.
A higher model price does not guarantee a higher current value. Damage reduces the value of that particular vehicle.
The game calculates a vehicle's value from its catalog price and damage:
value = base price x (1 - damage / 100)
The result is rounded and cannot fall below the vehicle tier's salvage floor. Damage is treated within a 0 to 100 range.
For example, a model with a $20,000 catalog price and 25 damage is assessed at $15,000, unless its salvage floor is higher.
Wheelman-acquired vehicles receive 25 additional damage points from automated GTA. This can reduce their resale value compared with an otherwise equivalent manual result.
Use the Garage's Sell action to sell the specific vehicle. The sale uses its current assessed value. Applicable family tax is deducted, and outstanding loan debt can consume incoming sale cash.
A vehicle in a race lobby or an in-progress race cannot be sold. Wait for the race to finish before selling it.
After a sale, the vehicle is removed from your Garage. Vehicle assets contribute to net worth using their assessed value rather than an arbitrary asking price.
Compare the model statistics, current damage and value. Keep vehicles you intend to use for racing and sell unwanted assets when they are available for sale. Check race entry requirements on the Racing screen.
