Damage affects a vehicle's assessed value and racing performance. Each Garage vehicle has its own damage value rather than sharing one condition across all cars of that model.
Assessed value follows catalog price multiplied by one minus damage divided by 100, with rounding and the tier salvage floor. At 25 damage, the undamaged-price stage retains 75% before that floor.
The racing performance stage uses a separate factor: one minus 0.30 times damage divided by 100. At 100 damage this stage retains 70%, rather than falling to zero. Model statistics, racing skill and race factors still matter.
Wheelman theft adds 25 damage points to an acquired vehicle. Racing can add further wear through its outcome rules.
Repairing verifies that you own the vehicle and that it is damaged. The base cost is catalog price times the damage fraction times 1.5, rounded. The route then applies Racing Mastery's repair-cost multiplier and floors the result. Enough personal cash is required.
A successful repair sets damage to zero and deducts the charge. A vehicle already at zero damage cannot be repaired again. Compare the current quote with the value and racing usefulness you recover: repairing solely to resell is not automatically profitable.
