The Loan Shark provides short-term cash with a repayment obligation. Borrow with a clear plan for covering the full amount before its due date.
Interest is 15% of the principal. A $100,000 loan requires $115,000 to repay. The default repayment window is seven days.
Your maximum is limited by both player level and the business ceiling. At a player-owned Loan Shark, its available lending pool can also limit borrowing. You can have only one active loan at a time.
Read the current maximum, amount owed and due time in the screen. The owner's ceiling does not override your level cap.
Voluntary repayment uses cash on hand and settles the full amount. It does not automatically take money from your bank. Withdraw enough first if repayment money is saved there, accounting for any bank withdrawal fee.
At a player-owned business, repaid principal returns to its lending pool and interest becomes business income.
The server periodically force-collects overdue loans. It takes available cash first, then bank money without an early-withdrawal fee. If insufficient, properties are liquidated from the cheapest resale value upward.
Production jobs attached to force-sold properties are removed without materials or resource refunds. Any shortfall becomes default debt deducted from applicable future incoming cash.
Moving money to the bank does not protect it from compulsory collection. Property ownership is not protected collateral storage either.
Borrowing enables an immediate purchase, but interest adds a real cost. Count reliable repayment cash rather than optimistic future wins. Net worth deducts active loan obligations and outstanding default debt.
