Milestone points let you improve the activities you use most. Earning a badge and spending its points are separate steps: a badge records an achievement, while an upgrade changes an applicable game effect.
Open Milestones and inspect the upgrade tree. Each of the 13 upgrade lines has ten levels. Level 1 costs one point, level 2 costs two, and so on up to ten points for level 10. Completing one line costs 55 points; all 13 cost 715.
The game checks your available points before a purchase. Buying a level deducts its cost, increases that upgrade and records the points spent. These upgrades use milestone points, rather than cash or Donator Points.
| Line | Main effects |
|---|---|
| Crime Mastery | Base-crime success, cooldown, Heat and Crime XP |
| Training Mastery | Training gains, Energy cost, gym upgrade cost and training slots |
| Career Mastery | Career shift duration, career XP and shift slots |
| Drug Operation | Production yield and duration, and bust-chance multiplier |
| Travel Expertise | Travel duration and checkpoint-chance multiplier |
| Jail Reduction | Jail duration and bribe cost |
| Recovery | Hospital duration |
| GTA Mastery | GTA success, cooldown and Heat |
| OC Mastery | Organized Crime payout, duration and XP |
| Racing Mastery | Race earnings, duration and repair cost |
| Resource Boost | Maximum Energy, Nerve and Focus |
| Heat Dispersal | Passive Heat decay |
| Lab Efficiency | Drug processing duration |
Training and career slot bonuses unlock at levels 3, 5, 7 and 9. Resource Boost adds two to each of the three resource caps per level. A larger cap and faster regeneration are different effects.
The Career Mastery upgrade line is separate from the track-specific Career Mastery system. Drug Operation changes production time; Lab Efficiency changes processing time. Neither should be treated as a universal bonus to every related activity.
A milestone reset costs 500 Donator Points. It clears all upgrade levels and returns the recorded spent milestone points to your available balance. It keeps your badges. A reset is unavailable if you have no spent points to recover.
Choose upgrades around your actual routine. A focused allocation can help sooner than spreading a small balance across every line. Check the current effect and next-level cost before spending.
